Here’s Plan A and Plan B – so whatever the weather you’ll find your #HappyPlace!
Plan A
Pack your walking boots and head for the hills with the wild ponies and smell the heather (or alternatively make the most of the coast – the Gower Coast Path winds around beautiful bays and craggy clifftops for a birds eye view of glorious Gower.
The water’s lovely at this time of year – so now could be the time to try surfing, stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking along the coast. Looking for an adrenalin rush? Then coasteering will definitely deliver – or try a climbing adventure on Gower’s cliffs. We’ve got the experts right here to ensure you have fantastic fun – safely.
Relive our legendary past, with a mystical tour of our ancient sites and connect with stories of Vikings, fairies and King Arthur! Pennard Castle is said to have been destroyed by the Queen of the Fairies, megalithic Arthur’s Stone was once a pebble thrown from King Arthur’s shoe and the Sweyne’s Howes is the reputed burial site of Viking King Sweyne!
Plan B
For a full on family fun weekend the sun does not need to be shining! Plantasia’s bursting with tropical plants and interesting animals – don’t miss the caiman crocodile’s feeding time! Got some energy to burn off? Limitless trampoline park is just the place and so is the LC – with a water park, climbing wall and soft play all under one roof!
Jump into the past at one of our marvellous museums – the National Waterfront Museum uses interactive technology to interpret Wales’ industrial and maritime heritage. Want to dig a little deeper? Then 1940s Swansea Bay takes you back to wartime Britain and Swansea Museum’s time machine can take you all the way to prehistoric Gower.
But whether you choose Plan A or Plan B, spoil yourself with a delicious meal full of fresh local flavours or a sensational ice cream sundae with all the trimmings. If you want to hang on to that holiday feeling when you get home – take a taste of Swansea Bay back with you – how about chocolate brownies or welshcakes, maybe washed down with a Gower Gin?
We don’t want you to miss a minute of your weekend – so once you have a plan, please book your attractions, activities and eating out before you travel – as most places now need you to book in advance of your visit.
… and you can also travel free on Swansea Bay’s buses over the Bank Holiday weekend!
