In one stunning 5 mile stretch of Swansea Bay you’ll find fun for the whole family. From 5 April you can have fun on the pedalos at Singleton Boating Lake - choose between a swan, unicorn, or dragon, before a few rounds on the 18 hole Crazy Golf course. The swans and geese at Singleton Park Boating Lake are getting some new neighbours… say hello to the dinosaurs! These familiar beasts have been kindly donated by Day’s Motor Park and will be in their new home very soon. They look the (Tricera) tops! You’re welcome to visit them in their new home, you can even get a selfie with them, don’t forget to tag us! #enjoyswansea 😊 Head to Southend Gardens for a round of mini golf or travel along Swansea Prom in style on the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train. Visitors can now explore the rich history and stunning architecture of this magnificent castle 7 days a week. The castle is open from 11am - 5pm (4:30pm last entry). The West Wales Derby usually comes around at home once a year (and who can forget that last-gasp try from Iestyn Hopkins to win the game at Christmas?) But this year, it's BACK like never before. Ospreys will take on their neighbours from the West for a second time at home this season on Sunday 6th April, KO 5:30pm. They'll meet in a European knockout for the first time ever as Ospreys look to make the EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-finals for the second year in a row. This is knockout rugby. People are being invited to step into spring by signing up for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Swansea. The charity’s much-loved events, which raise funds for life-saving research, are returning to the city! The Race for Life events take place at Singleton Park and Museum Park and are open to all ages and abilities. On Saturday 17 May, there is a chance to take part in Pretty Muddy, a 5k mud-splattered obstacle course, and there’s a Pretty Muddy Kids option for children aged 6 to 12. That's not all! Sunday 18 May, people can choose from 5k and 10k events. Anyone who joins between Monday 17 March and Sunday 6 April can claim 30% off the entry fee as part of a special sale by using the code 25SPRING. Money raised at Race for Life enables scientists to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer – to bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. World-famous RAF team, The Red Arrows, have been confirmed and are set to thrill crowds at Swansea's Wales National Airshow this summer. They are the first big name to be confirmed for the free-entry spectacular, due to take place over Swansea Bay on Saturday 5 July, and Sunday 6 July. The Red Arrows, renowned for their breathtaking aerial displays and precision flying, will perform on both Saturday and Sunday this year, treating spectators to their trademark formations, heart-stopping manoeuvres, and dazzling trails of red, white, and blue smoke. As spring arrives, it's the ideal time to kick off your outdoor training for the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k. Shake off the winter cobwebs with relaxed runs through the stunning landscapes of Swansea Bay. With 8 months remaining until the big event on 14 September, there's plenty of time to gradually work up to 10k, even if you're just starting out.
