Here Comes the Summer!

Head outside and make the most of those long, bright days at our beautiful beaches, parks and outdoor attractions. Summer is always a busy time of year in Swansea Bay and 2025 is no exception. Wales Airshow - 5 and 6 July

The Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Aircraft, Typhoon Display Team and Tutor Display Team are all confirmed for Saturday 5 July and Sunday 6 July, treating spectators to incredible aerial acrobatics displays across Swansea Bay's sky at both days of the Wales Airshow 2025. Entry to this fantastic event is completely FREE!

National Waterfront Museum

Are you ready for a Summer of Fun at the National Waterfront Museum? A range of exciting and creative events and activities for the whole family will take place at the museum this summer.
 

  • You can Meet the Bees (£4pp) on 28 June, 26 July & 30 August. 
  • Have a go at Letterpress Printing a Postcard (FREE) on 21–22 July, 1–2, 11–12 & 25–26 August. 
  • Get creative at one of the Summer Cardboard Big Build sessions (£3 per child) on 24, 31 July & 7 August. 
  • Raise the roof at our annual Play Day celebrations (FREE) on 6 August. 
  • Use your design and building skills in the K'Nex Big Build Challenge (FREE) on 14, 21 & 28 August.
  • Find out more about how robots work and what they can do, in our fun and interactive Lego Robotics workshop (£2.50 per child) on 27 August.

Ironman 70.3 Swansea - 13 July

 
Thousands of athletes and spectators will flock to the city on 13 July for the IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea - one of the city's most popular sporting events. Now in its fourth year, the event challenges participants with a swim, bike ride, and run over 70.3 miles throughout Swansea Bay and Gower. Come and cheer on the athletes in this thrilling race!

Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships 10 - 13 July

Get ready for the RLSS Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships in Swansea! Join us for an unforgettable weekend of courage, skill, and community spirit at the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships, right here in beautiful Swansea!

Watch as the UK’s top lifesavers go head-to-head with those from Commonwealth countries in thrilling competitions that test speed, strength, and lifesaving expertise. From dramatic water rescues to high-energy relays, every event showcases the incredible talent and dedication of these real-life heroes.

RLSS Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships

Outdoor Cinema - 26 and 27 July

Enjoy a weekend of classic films on 26 and 27 July with Outdoor Cinema in the Lacrosse Field, Singleton Park. Travel back to the 60s and enjoy the romantic rollercoaster ride of Dirty Dancing, or venture to Amity Island and witness the terror of a community under attack by a great white shark in the 50th-anniversary screening of Jaws. Even better, come and watch both for a fin-tastic time!

Outdoor Theatre - 13 and 14 August

This summer, outdoor theatre returns to the idyllic grounds of Oystermouth Castle. The historic monument acts as the backdrop for two literary classics adapted for the stage: Pride and Prejudice on Wednesday 13 August and The Wind in the Willows on Thursday 14 August. Book your tickets now!

Amplitude - 16 and 17 August

Join us at Swansea’s Amphitheatre (outside LC Swansea) for Amplitude - two days of great music across different genres, from indie-rock through jazz and pop to folk, with live performances from some of the area’s amazing artists, there’ll be plenty for all to enjoy. What’s more, it’s FREE!
