Just a stone’s throw from the city centre, you'll find Swansea’s largest park - Singleton Park - home to gorgeous Botanical Gardens, offering a quieter experience during autumn with late-blooming flowers and ornamental grasses. And nearby Clyne Gardens is perfect for an autumn stroll…don’t miss the Admiral’s Tower and Japanese bridge!

For gentle walks in leafy surroundings, visit Dylan Thomas’ beloved Cwmdonkin Park, feed the ducks at nearby Brynmill Park or visit one of our hidden gems - Penllergare Valley Woods, where you can explore golden woodlands. Keep your eyes peeled for squirrels, robins, and herons, while the peaceful lake and waterfall reflect the season’s rich colours.

What’s On this Autumn

If you’re into music, arts, or high-energy events, Swansea Bay is the place to be this autumn! Get inspired at the Swansea Arts Weekend, a vibrant two-day celebration of creativity, culture, and community in the heart of Swansea City Centre.

There’s also a whole host of great events from concerts and shows in Swansea Arena, Swansea Grand Theatre and the Brangwyn, to live music at city centre venues showcasing the best of local talent. Not forgetting a wide range of exhibitions in our museums and galleries.

As autumn continues, the excitement builds for Halloween!  Swansea City Centre is the place to be on Saturday 25 October for Spooks in the City, a family-friendly Halloween extravaganza featuring roaming characters, theatrical makeup, spooky games, and a lively pumpkin parade. Halloween at Oystermouth Castle is a truly magical and spine-tingling experience. Families can enjoy The Spooky Castle, perfect for younger children seeking fun without the fright, and for those craving a darker thrill, The Dark Side of Oystermouth Castle invites brave visitors to explore chilling tales from the castle’s brutal past.
