It's a scorcher! Swansea is spoilt for choice this summer with a jam-packed events calendar; whether you're a fan of live music and theatre or looking for a free, fun family day out, there's something to get you out and enjoying the glorious sunshine.
Join us on Swansea’s stunning waterfront for a free weekend packed with maritime adventure, family entertainment, live performances and hands-on activities as the Swansea Sea Festival arrives on 8-9 August.
Highlights include:
- Free boat trips around Swansea Marina
- Live music and sea shanties in the Amphitheatre, Museum Garden and aboard the Copper Jack as it sails the river
- Walkabout pirates, giant ocean-themed inflatable and a magical mermaid lagoon
- Traditional sailmaking and ship carving demonstrations
- Workshops, heritage displays, storytelling and interactive exhibits at the National Waterfront Museum and partner venues
- Local makers and artisan traders at Crafters Cove
This exciting new event is organised in partnership by Swansea Council and the National Waterfront Museum.

Feel the Beat at Amplitude 2026 this August
Get ready for two days of incredible live music as Amplitude 2026 returns to Swansea's Amphitheatre (outside LC Swansea) on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August.
This free festival celebrates the very best of Swansea's vibrant grassroots music scene, bringing together an exciting line-up of local artists across a diverse range of genres, including indie, folk, funk, disco and more. Amplitude, presented by Swansea Council, showcases the city’s creative talent and gives grassroots artists a platform to reach new audiences.
Swansea International Jazz Festival Swinging Into City
Get ready to swing into September, when Swansea International Jazz Festival returns promising another unforgettable celebration of great music.
Bringing together world-class musicians with local emerging talent, the festival offers a rich programme of live jazz from 3 – 6 September in venues across Swansea.

Swansea Bay 10k returns on 20 September
