Swansea’s newest festival celebrating all things music!
Join us at Swansea’s Amphitheatre (outside LC Swansea) between Friday 16 and Sunday 18 August for Amplitude, three FREE days of music-themed entertainment!
Festivities start on Friday with film screenings of School of Rock and Bohemian Rhapsody, and Saturday and Sunday will see a host of music acts taking to the stage. Come along and get down!
Are you ready for an exciting week full of activities and adventure at the National Waterfront Museum?
Join us on Wednesday 7 August as we celebrate National Play Day with fun filled day of circus skills, arts and crafts, face painting, live music and so much more. There will also be a rare opportunity to see the amazing Penydarren steam locomotive on the move as we fire her up and drive her down the track. All FREE for everyone to enjoy!
Then join us on Sunday 11 August as we go pirate crazy at our Pirate Day event! With cutthroat crafts, knotty hands-on fun and a fantastic performance of “Captain Barnacle – Pirate Pantomime!”*

All aboard the Swansea Bay Land Rider! Take a leisurely trip up and down Swansea prom, hop on and off as much as you like! Running 7 days a week during the holidays, it’s wheelchair accessible and even welcoming to well behaved dogs on leads! Have you seen the new unicorn pedalos at Singleton Boating Lake yet? Say hello and take a ride on Sparkles and Sprinkles. Competitive families will love a game of crazy golf at Singleton or at the newly painted Southend Gardens mini golf, and everyone loves a splash at Blackpill Lido in the sunshine!
Outdoor Theatre 7 & 8 August
Oystermouth Castle plays host to two outdoor theatre performances next week – families will enjoy the story of the boy who never grew up – Peter Pan on Wednesday 7 August at 2pm and Shakespeare’s timeless tale of love and tragedy, Romeo and Juliet on Thursday 8 August at 7pm. Book your tickets now!

Castles in the Sky
Have you taken part in the Castles in the Sky sculpture trail yet? 32 colourful sculptures designed by a host of artists are dotted around the city as well as 11 ‘little keep-sakes’ castles designed by community groups. Check out the trail map and seek out as many as you can, it’s a great way to spend a day out! You can also download the app to collect rewards, count your steps and vote for your favourite castle.
