British Art Show 10: A Chorus of Strangers
Swansea will host the British Art Show for the first time in 2027, bringing one of the UK’s leading contemporary art exhibitions to the city.
Taking place 12 February – 16 May 2027, British Art Show 10: A Chorus of Strangers will be presented across key city centre venues including Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Elysium Gallery, GS Artists, Mission Gallery, and Volcano Theatre, and Swansea Museum.
Held every five years, the British Art Show is the UK’s largest recurring contemporary art exhibition, featuring over 30 artists and showcasing some of the most exciting work produced across the country in recent years.
Curated by Ekow Eshun and developed by Hayward Gallery Touring, the exhibition explores themes of identity, connection, and contemporary life, forming part of a UK-wide tour.
Swansea is the only city in Wales on the 2026–2028 tour.
