Singleton Park will host Proms in the Park for the 12th time, linking up with the Albert Hall for the Last Night of the Proms.

Catering and a bar will be available on the evening for food and drink purchases.

 

Seating
This is not a fully seated concert. However you are welcome to bring your own deck/garden chairs.

A small number of deckchairs will be available for hire on the evening.

 

Accessibility
The event takes place on grass; friendly stewards, accessible toilets plus a disability viewing area are available. The park is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance.

Limited Accessible parking (but based on grass) is available within Singleton Park car Park.

The two nearest carparks available to use on the day will be:

Singleton Park

Accessed via Sketty Lane, Swansea SA2 8QJ. This car park is free of charge to concert goers. The car park is based on a grass surface. There is a short walk (300m) from the car park to the concert arena.

Disabled Parking spaces will be available in the Singleton Park carpark, please be advised that this is situated on grass.

Recreation Ground Car Park

Accessed Oystermouth Road Swansea. This car park is free of charge to concert goers. The car park is based on a gravel surface. There is a reasonably short walk (500m) from the car park to the concert arena.

Singleton Hospital Overflow Car Park

Accessed via Sketty Lane Swansea. This car park is free of charge to concert goers. The car park is based on a tarmac/paved surface. There is a short walk (800m) from the car park to the concert arena.

Travelling by Bus
Buses operate from Swansea City Centre and various other locations to Singleton Park. Bus stops are located near both the Gower Road and Oystermouth Road entrances to Singleton Park.

Concert goers should be mindful of the timing of the concert and are advised to check with the operator (First Cymru: 0871 200 2233 or www.firstgroup.com) for details of the timetable.

 

Travelling by Train
The nearest railway station to Singleton Park is Swansea High Street which is approximately 2 miles away. A taxi rank is situated outside the station.

Concert goers should be mindful of the timing of the concert and are advised to check with the operator (Arriva Trains: 08457 484950 www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk) for details of the timetable.

 

Travelling by Taxi
Should you be arriving by Taxi you should aim to be dropped off and collected near to the Gower Road entrance to the park or by the Lacrosse Field near Oystermouth Road. Taxis will not be permitted to enter the park.

The concert is scheduled to end at approximately 22:30hrs. Please allow plenty of time to walk from the concert arena to the highway when booking your taxi.

 

Weather
The concert will not be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Please bring clothing appropriate to the expected weather conditions. In consideration of other concert goers umbrellas and gazebos should not be used.

 

Refreshments
A range of catering, offering a variety of food and drink will be available within the event arena from the time the gates open. There will also be a public bar present.

 

Toilets
Standard and accessible toilet facilities are located throughout the event arena.

 

Song Sheets
To join in with the evening’s entertainment free song sheets will be available on the evening.

 

General Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s:

• Do keep your ticket with you at all times.
• Do arrive in the park in good time prior to the start of the concert as bag searches will be in operation for your security.
• Do bring weather proof clothing.
• Do put any rubbish in the bins provided for you.
• Do look for official vendors and concessions stalls.
• Do avoid unlicensed traders outside of the grounds.
• Do allow ample time for your journey.
• Do enjoy!

Don’ts:

• Do not arrive with any form of audio or visual recording equipment.
• Do not bring and try to put up umbrellas during the concert performance.
• Do not bring dogs to the event (with the exception of assistance dogs)
• Do not leave valuables on display in your vehicle in the event car parks.
