Open to all photography enthusiasts aged 9 and above, the photography darkroom workshops at Elysium Gallery will introduce you to sustainable darkroom photography development materials and techniques.
The workshops will explore mixing your own chemicals to process silver prints, learning how to mix developer and fixer. Using different organic compounds, you will explore the printing process ¾ all under red light conditions in a professional darkroom.
During the workshop you will create photograms using different objects, both natural and manmade. All materials will be provided.
Please note that children will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer.

About the artist: Daniel Staveley is an experimental analogue photographer working in the darkroom, creating black and white images using recycled water, and a variety of nonharmful chemicals to create abstract and digitally printed images.
